The longest unbroken period of time that we spend in the house is from September to Christmas. For four months we come to grips with the routine of prayer, study, discussion and manual labour. This semi-monastic life creates some space for the Lord. Constant daily routine is a bland backdrop that allows the gentle and powerful call of God to be noticed. As the months pass by we get a sense of where this new voice is calling us.
In the coming days we will be relfecting upon our experiences of life and God these months past. An honest appraisal will most likely reveal that his grace has been abundant. We are looking forward to moving into Christmas with grateful hearts.
